RoRo and Intermodal Freight Customer Buys Majority Shareholding in Port Terminal 

Turkish-based Ekol Logistics has acquired a 65% share of Europa Multipurpose Terminals (EMT), the operator of pier VI in the Port of Trieste which Ekol uses for its RoRo and intermodal train services throughout Europe. The acquisition is an addition to Ekol developing a new RoRo terminal at the port of Yalova, Turkey which should open early next year.

Coca-Cola Icecek eyes Coca-Cola Beverages Africa stake

Coca-Cola Icecek has expressed its interest in taking majority control of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. The company, which is the fifth-largest bottler in the global Coca-Cola system, said earlier this week that it has “decided to engage with investment banks” on the purchase of 54% of the recently-merged entity. CCBA came into being in June this year, when SABMiller agreed to form an African bottling JV with the majority shareholders in Coca-Cola Sabco and The Coca-Cola Co.
